Summer Stern, a born and raised New Yorker never imagined she would get into the world of cooking. After graduating from the University of Michigan she grabbed her bicycle and rode from Seattle, WA down to San Diego, CA. It was during this time that she ate at Chez Panisse and fell in love. She was moved by the beauty and integrity of the food and spent most of the night talking with those in the open kitchen. She spoke with the head chef, secured an internship, and later that night on the phone told her mom "Tonight is the first day of the rest of my life." Summer's culinary skills and knowledge is rooted in her experiences at Chez Panisse and expanded when she came back to NYC to work in Danny Meyer's Union Square Cafe. Today, Summer combines the cornerstones of both culinary guru's to deliver, through exceptional hospitality, food that is robust in flavor and loyal to the seasons.
